WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS FOR ASSEMBLING THE SELF-STUDY?

In an effort to reduce our environmental impact, the Council on Accreditation has developed an electronic Self-Study process which allows organisations to submit evidence of implementation in a standardized template on a CD-ROM or a USB/jump drive. This process helps organisations:

  • Save a significant amount of money on paper, copying, and shipping; and
  • Save time preparing the self-study document.

All organisations with signed Accreditation Agreements prior to January 2, 2009 have the option of submitting their self-study in electronic or hard copy format; however, COA encourages all organisations to strongly consider the electronic option. To obtain a copy of the hard copy instructions, please contact your COA Coordinator. All other organisations with signed agreements after January 2, 2009 must submit their self-study in electronic format.

In a limited number of cases under specific circumstances, COA will grant an organisation a waiver and allow the submission of hard copy documents.

To learn more about the electronic Self-Study process, contact your COA Coordinator, read the instructions and download the template on the following page of the Guidelines, or take the webinar titled “How to Assemble an Electronic Self-Study”.
